Video
Check and export
Check the video before it goes out, make it, export it for each channel, make a thumbnail and titles, or send it to a post.
Check before you post
Under a vertical video, press Show the app's buttons. The player shades where Reels, Shorts and TikTok put the profile, the like and share buttons and the caption, so you can see if a title, text or logo would be hidden. Places that sit there are flagged in the Text and Logo settings too.
In Video › Check, pick a clip or a finished video and press Check (about 10 credits; the price is on the button). It works out what kind of video it is (a product, a tutorial, a review, a story…) and who it's for, then gives a value score out of 10 with What's missing, What's working and Talk better: your own line next to a better way to say it. Likely reach says how far it may go; once you have a few videos with numbers (from a connected channel or typed in Analytics), it gives a views range from your own history. Under that, Ready to post gives a score out of 100 from free checks: the opening, pace, sound, picture, text hidden under the app's buttons, the music under your voice, a next step at the end and the length. Fix it tells the AI editor what to change; a gap that needs filming says so, with the line to say. Pressing Check again on a video that hasn't changed shows the saved result; Review again buys a fresh one.
Export
Press Export at the top right. Make the video puts your cut together: Final is picked for you, and the Subtitles switch is the same setting as in the clean-up options (switch it on here and they are made in your saved look; Change how they look opens the clean-up options). Loudness and voice cleanup are under More options. Then pick a preset to make a copy sized and compressed for each place it goes:
| Preset | Size |
|---|---|
| YouTube | Its own shape, high quality. |
| Shorts, Reels, TikTok | 9:16 · 1080×1920 · up to 3 minutes. |
| Instagram & Facebook feed | 4:5 · 1080×1350. |
| Square | 1:1 · 1080×1080. |
| Up to 1920 px · 10 minutes. | |
| X | Up to 1920 px · 2 min 20 s. |
| Under 16 MB · 1280 px, so it isn't squeezed again when sent. | |
| GIF | 480 px · the first 15 seconds · no sound. |
Send it to a post
Press Post on any version and the composer opens with the video attached. Or Download it.
Thumbnail, title and description
- Thumbnail: a frame from the video with a title, your font and colours; or an AI background behind you.
- Cut yourself out: you, from the frame you picked, with a white outline, set beside the words, over the AI background or the same frame blurred. It's your real face from the video, never an AI one. Pick a frame where you're in view.
- On a phone: your thumbnail at the size people see it in the feed, next to the latest thumbnails from the channels in Posts › Plan › Your niche. More than five words gets a warning: three or four big words read best.
- On a Shorts / Reels 9:16 cover, dashed lines show the part Instagram keeps on your profile grid (the middle 3:4). Keep your face and words between them.
- Save as my style keeps the layout, font, colours, logo and cut-out, and every new thumbnail starts from it. Use my style puts it back after you change things.
- Titles: suggestions from what you say, kept under 70 characters so they aren't cut off.
- Description and chapters, one per line, ready for YouTube.
Finish in another editor
