Quick reel: three steps, then post

Never edited before? Drop your video, pick a look, check the plan. You get the reel with a cover and a caption, ready to post.

Step 3: the plan, with real numbers. Switch off anything you don't want before it's made.

Quick reel is the short way through the video editor. It does the same work as the full editor (the same cuts, looks and subtitles), and asks you only what matters. Afterwards everything can still be changed with the AI editor in the Full editor.

Start a quick reel

  1. In Video, press New at the top right, then Quick reel (or Make a quick reel in 3 steps in a new project).
  2. 1. Your video: drop the video, or press Record. One take from your phone is enough. Press Next: pick a look. The speech is turned into text first (free on the server, about 2 credits a minute with Sarvam, or about 30 credits a minute with ElevenLabs Scribe; the button shows the real price before it starts).
  3. 2. Pick a look: every look plays on a few seconds of your own video. Each says who it suits, like For tips, numbers and lists. Press Pick, then Next: check the plan.
  4. 3. Check the plan, then press Make my reel.
Step 2: every look on your own video. Under each name, who it suits.

The plan

Before anything is made you see what will happen, with real numbers: how long the video is now and about how long it will be, the seconds of pauses cut, how many um and uh go, repeated lines, the subtitles and their look, the opening title, the zooms, the small sounds and the music. Each line has a switch. The opening title is written for you from what you say; change it or pick another suggestion.

Sometimes an “mmm” or “hmm” is part of what you mean: a reaction, a joke, tasting something. The plan says when it keeps one, and why, like Kept “mmm”: a reaction to the smell.

Music follows the moments of your reel: free music that's safe for business videos, a song for each part, with the parts named in the plan. Switch it off for no music.

Your reel is ready

The reel, its cover and its caption together. Change them, then post.
  • Download the reel: the full-quality video.
  • Cover: a frame is picked for you. Pause the video on a better one and press Use this frame, then Download cover.
  • Caption: the opening title stands in. Press Write it for me for a caption in your language from what you say (about 1 credit), or type your own. Copy puts it on the clipboard.
  • Post or schedule opens a new post with the video and the caption.
  • Make a carousel too: slides made from what you say in the reel, added to a post. One recording, two posts.

Ask for changes

Under the reel, write what to change, one per line: “Bigger subtitles”, “Cut the first 2 seconds”, “Warmer colour”. Press Send to the AI editor. The list goes to the AI editor as one request; it makes the changes and the video again, and asks first if anything costs money.
