Finding your way around

The sidebar, the top bar, alerts, Ask, notifications and the account menu, and links that open a tab directly.

5 min read

The dark sidebar on the left holds the six sections. The page you're on is shown as a light patch. Each section's tabs sit under its title at the top: for example Plan, All posts and Replies in Posts. At the bottom of the sidebar are Help and how-tos (these pages) and Send feedback. On a computer, the button at the top of the sidebar folds it to icons only (point at one to see its name) for more room, and opens it out again; this browser remembers your choice. The video editor starts with icons only and keeps its own choice.

The top bar

  • Ask opens a side panel for any question in plain words, in any language: about your marketing ("Which channel did best this month?", "What's due this week?") or how to do something here ("How do I add my products?"). It reads your posts, channels and score, and these help pages. It can also write a draft, schedule a post, put an idea on the plan or change a post's text: nothing changes until you press the button on its card. See Have Ask do it.
  • New post opens the post composer from anywhere.
  • What's new (the gift icon) lists the latest features, newest first. Press Try on one to open it. It only shows when something is new, and a dot says you haven't looked yet.
  • The bell holds notifications: a post that went out, a video that finished while you were away, a moment that is due.
  • Your name opens the account menu: profiles, your credits left with See credit usage, and Sign out. On a phone it also has Help and how-tos and Send feedback.
Ask: questions about your own numbers. Each answer costs about 1 credit.

Alerts under the top bar

When something needs your attention, a strip shows under the top bar: red for a problem, yellow for a heads-up, blue for a note. It can be about Creators Master for everyone (slow exports, planned maintenance) or about your own account (a payment that didn't go through, a message from the team). If it has a button, it takes you where to fix it. With more than one, +1 more steps to the next. You can close yellow and blue ones; a red one stays until it's fixed. One about your account comes back a day later while it's still open.

If you go offline, or Creators Master can't be reached, a red strip says so and that changes won't save. It goes away by itself once you're back; Try now checks straight away.

Have Ask do it

Say what you want in your own words, like "Write a post about our Diwali offer for Instagram", then "Love it. Schedule that for Tuesday morning". Ask writes in your brand voice from Brand › Your business, with your prices and products. If it needs a fact you haven't given, like what this week's offer is, it asks first. Each thing it offers shows as a card under the answer, with one button.

What you askThe buttonWhat happens
Write a postCreate draftIt is saved in Posts › All posts under Drafts. Nothing goes out.
Schedule a post: a draft, or the text Ask just wroteScheduleA reminder at that time, and you post it yourself. To have it post by itself on a connected channel, press Open on the card and tick it there.
Plan an idea on a dayAdd to planThe idea sits on that day in Posts › Plan, to write later.
Change a post's textApply changeThe draft's or scheduled post's text is replaced, on every channel.

Times come from your words and your own clock, and the card shows the exact time before you press. Morning is 9 am, afternoon 2 pm, evening 6 pm and night 8 pm; a day without a time is 10 am. "Tuesday" is the coming Tuesday, and Hinglish works too ("kal shaam 6 baje").

Every tab has its own address, so you can bookmark it or send it to a team mate. For example /#content/plan opens the calendar and /#editor/tools opens Video › Clean-up options.

Ask the help a question

On the help home, type your question in Ask a question, in any language ("subtitle bada kaise karein?" works). The answer is written from these help pages only, with links to the pages it used. When you're signed out, or no answer can be written, the matching pages are listed instead. For a word or a button name, the search (Ctrl K or /) is faster.

Telling us something is wrong

Press Send feedback at the bottom of the left sidebar (on a phone: in the account menu). Pick Problem, Idea or Something else, say what happened, and add screenshots or a screen recording (images up to 10 MB, videos up to 200 MB).

Still stuck? In Creators Master, open your name at the top right and press Send feedback.
